Let’s Plan An Easter Party!

Easter break is a fantastic time to have a party, so if you’re planning a children’s party during the Easter holidays, you’ll need a selection of delicious snacks, some fun games and activities, and you’ll need some exciting loot bags, filled with Easter themed party bag fillers and toys.

When Is Easter This Year?

Easter doesn’t have a fixed date; instead it is celebrated on the first Sunday following the vernal equinox. In layman’s terms the first Sunday after the full moon of March. This means that in 2019, Easter will be on Sunday the 21st of April.

Planning An Easter Party

When organising a party, it can feel like there’s a lot to do, but just follow these 4 simple steps and you’ll be well on your way to organising a fantastic Easter party for your children.

  1. Set Your Budget
It’s not the most exciting part of organising a party, but it is essential. After all, you wouldn’t want to accidently overspend on a certain area of party planning and then have to sacrifice in another area. By setting aside some time to carefully plan your budget, you can avoid these embarrassing moments.

  2. Decide On Your Party Food
There are lots of delicious choices for food and drink at your Easter party. For example, you could add orange food colouring to white chocolate and make transform some chocolate covered strawberries into fun Easter themed snacks. They’ll look just like some tiny carrots for Easter bunnies. However, if you’d rather serve a more healthy party snack, how about some carrot sticks with a selection of tasty dips?

With regards to the choice of drinks, if adults are attending the party you could include a selection of cocktails, however as some of the adults will be driving and some may not wish to drink alcohol at the party, if you include cocktails on the menu, you should also include some tasty mocktails too. For example, you could make Fizzy Bunny cocktails which are made of 1 part orange juice, 1 part carrot juice, one part cayenne pepper, and four parts champagne, however if you would like to create a mocktail version, you could replace the champagne with fizzy lemonade.

  3. Organise Activities & Party Games
In addition to some tasty treats, you’ll need some fun activities and games for the party. You could keep things simple with an egg and spoon race or some other outdoor party games if the weather is nice. However, it’s always good to be prepared, so you’ll need a backup plan in case of poor weather; perhaps a Readymade Pass The Parcel?

You could also look to other cultures for inspiration. For example, did you know that in Poland, Easter Monday is also known as Wet Monday, because locals use buckets of water to have a big water fight. This could be a great activity if the weather is nice as party guests of various different ages can join in the water fight.

  4. Use Party Bag Fillers To Make Goodie Bags For All The Guests
Finally, you’ll need some awesome party bags to give to the guests at the end of the Easter celebrations.
